PublicArt Project 2012 Monument to the victims of terrorism

This sculpture was created by Jesús Fructuoso Gómez in 2002. It is a contemporary sculpture. This sculpture uses granite and iron, and the colors remain the same as the original materials. It measures 3.8 metres high and 45 centimetres wide. The iron has a very smooth surface: it reminds you of the sea. It's very simple, and it invites you to see a future with hope through it.
The work of art is integrated in a park with gardens, it's near everybody. It's situated in a calm place with nature, trees, grass, some animals like birds... It represents a frame for every victim of terrorism.
One side of the monolith is cut in a irregular shape. This sculpture is not very popular, but with this PublicArt project we will try to make it known to everybody: this is a simple but simbolic sculpture because everybody has to remember all victims of terrorism and try to finish this cruel and violent action.
